October 12, 2004: Foxy Gives From The Heart, Plus More S. Carter Rumors
The New York Post's gossip column reports that Jay-Z's S. Carter record label has given Foxy a $500,000 advance for her upcoming album, and that she used a portion of the money to purchase a new Bentley Continental GT. In other news, Foxy recently contributed to a good cause in her native Brooklyn. After learning of the recent death of four-year-old Zaire Gonzalez, who was pushed from a rooftop by another child, New York Post readers raised more than $10,000 for a tombstone, which the boy’s family could not afford. Foxy Brown was among the readers who called to offer donations. According to Sharon Borno, whose Glendale Civic Association is leading the fund-raising drive, Foxy sought to contact the boy’s mother, but Borno wasn’t authorized to give out the family’s phone number. Foxy somehow did get the number and called—offering to pay the entire cost, the boy’s mother said.
