October 4, 2004: Foxy Attends VH1 Show, Sharpton's Birthday Party
Foxy Brown attended VH1's Hip Hop Honors Show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Sunday, October 3. She and Wyclef Jean (pictured below, top) presented an award together during the ceremony, which will air on VH1 Tuesday, October 12 at 9:00PM EST. Visit VH1.com for additional air dates. Earlier that afternoon, Brown (pictured below, middle) had attended Al Sharpton's 50th Birthday celebration at the Apollo Theatre, paying tribute to the preacher and political leader alongside P. Diddy, James Brown, and others. "He says what he feels, he means what he says, and he acts on it. He has marched, has been jailed, and many times maligned in his fight for recognition of the downtrodden," Foxy said of Sharpton. Citing civil rights activists Martin Luther King Jr. and A. Philip Randolph, Foxy went on to call Sharpton "our present-day link to our great leaders who have gone on to glory." Following the event at the Apollo, Foxy also attended an after party held at Milieu (pictured below, bottom). In other news, Foxy’s fur collection has gained mention in several prominent publications, including the November issue of W magazine, October 11 issue of Newsweek, October 4 issue of People, and various daily newspapers. The fur line, which includes the Marchand and Foxy Brown brands, should be arriving in stores soon.
