October 3, 2004: Foxy Signs Record Deal, Appears In Film, Launches Fur Line According to AllHipHop.com, Foxy Brown has signed with Jay-Z's S. Carter Records, though the deal has not been officially announced because Jay-Z has yet to settle on a distribution deal for his new imprint. Foxy and Jay-Z also collaborate in the feature film "Fade to Black," which chronicles the making of Jay-Z's The Black Album and his November 2003 farewell performance at Madison Square Garden. The film, which also features Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, R. Kelly, Pharrell, and others, is due in theatres nationwide on November 5, 2004. In other news, Foxy's Fall 2004 "Champagne & Ice"-themed fur line has hit stores, and distributor Alexis & Gianni promises the collection "will be one of the most aggressively promoted brands."
