August 10, 2000: Foxy Featured in Magazines Foxy is featured in August’s issue of The Source. Included is a picture (below) taken during her recent visit to the Playboy mansion. The caption accompanying the picture reads, "Looks like Foxy fell into a bunny hole at the Playboy Mansion." The magazine also featured a review of Capone-N-Noreaga's current single, "Bang Bang," on which Foxy makes a guest appearance. The article mentioned, among other things, Foxy's ongoing feud with former friend Lil' Kim, citing Foxy's verse in the single. The following is an excerpt from The Source's review: "The deadly duo spits volatile verses, but the surprise guest makes this particular 12-inch even more of a must hear. An angry Foxy Brown responds to her former friend turned rival and steals Capone and Nore's thunder: 'Hot damn ho/ Here we go again/ Pop shit like a cock/ Lightweight as your rocks/ Bitch, you talk slick/ Fuck all that sneak shit?/ You and P-Diddy/ Y'all kill me with that subliminal shit...' It seems like C-N-N's extra roughness was enough to put the battery in Foxy's back to answer Kim. While some may criticize her for kickin' up dust, deep down, y'all know you love a catfight. Who better to instigate than Capone-N-Noreaga?" For the full article, pick up the August 2000 issue of The Source, at newsstands now. Foxy is also briefly mentioned and pictured in August's issue of GQ magazine. An article relating this summer’s hottest tours to last summer's "Woodstock `99" takes a look at Dr. Dre's "Up in Smoke" tour, featuring Eminem, Ice Cube, Warren G, and Snoop Dogg. So how are Dr. Dre's tour and Foxy Brown distantly linked to Woodstock `99 you ask? The following excerpt from the article explains it all: "Snoop’s cousin Daz Dillinger was a member of Tha Dogg Pound with Kurupt, who, during the Suge Knight salad days of Death Row, was shot at in Los Angeles after making a disparaging record about Woodstock `99 day-one show stealer DMX, the man Kurupt says tried to steal his ex, rapper Foxy Brown."
