March 15, 2003: New Album Update
In a recent interview with MTV, Foxy discussed her upcoming fourth LP, Ill Na Na 2: The Fever, due in stores May 6. "I wanted to keep it similar to Broken Silence," she said, because it "was hailed as my best album. It was critically acclaimed..." Fever will include a sequel to the Broken Silence track "The Letter," this time with Luther Vandross singing the chorus. Lauryn Hill will also make an appearance on the track "Everyday People." Other guests include Spragga Benz, Shabba Ranks, Capone-N-Noreaga, P. Diddy, and Foxy's protégé Kori. "I Need A Man," the first Fever single, has already hit radio. Meanwhile, production of the accompanying music video began last week under the direction of Little X. In other news, Foxy appears on the soundtrack to "Bringing Down The House," a comedy starring Steve Matin and Queen Latifah. Her track "Whatcha Gonna Do" also plays during a scene in the movie. The soundtrack is shown below at right, along with a picture of Foxy during her MTV interview.
