February 18, 2001: New Album Update
The silence will finally be broken. After pushing back the release date for Foxy Brown’s third LP once again, Def Jam has announced a title. According to DefJam.com, the online affiliate of Foxy’s record label, the album will be released June 5, 2001 and will be titled Broken Silence. This is the fourth in a string of release dates provided by Def Jam. You may recall that the album was originally set to drop July 18, 2000, then pushed back to November 7, and most recently May 8, 2001. The Brooklyn rapper is still recording songs for the follow-up to 1998’s Chyna Doll, which will include the single "Oh Yeah." It's likely she'll touch on her ongoing rivalry with Lil' Kim, although a Def Jam publicist would say only that a lot of issues will be addressed on the new album. We can’t wait...
