February 13, 2003: New Album Update Foxy Brown's upcoming fourth album, Ill Na Na 2: The Fever, is set for release in May on her own Ill Na Na Entertainment/Def Jam imprint. The LP will feature appearances by fellow Def Jam artists N.O.R.E. and Ludacris, as well as Baby from Cash Money, Loon, producer Jazze Pha, Outkast's Big Boi, and even classic soul singer Anita Baker. It's uncertain whether or not material recorded with P. Diddy will make the album. The first single, "I Need a Man," was produced by 7 Aurelius. In the two years since her last release, Broken Silence, Foxy has made numerous mixtape appearances and even sparked a lyrical beef with fellow female rapper Eve. Both women are up for the Best Female Rap Solo Performance Grammy, to be awarded February 23. In other news, Foxy appears on the soundtrack to "Cradle 2 The Grave," a film starring Jet Li and DMX. Foxy's track, entitled "My Life (Cradle 2 The Grave)," features Ill Na Na Entertainment recording artist Althea. The movie hits theatres February 28, while the soundtrack, pictured below, is due in stores February 18. ![]() |
